Our journey began in 2006 with the opening of Riverlane Café, tucked behind the village shop that had been in Tom’s family since 1922. Food wasn’t our original path- Susan came from a design background and Tom had studied accountancy, but a shared love of great baking brought us into the kitchen.
Soon, local cafés began requesting our cakes, and what started as a small café quickly evolved into something more. We made the leap, closed the shop and café, and built a state-of-the-art bakery in its place. Wildberry Bakery was born, and we haven’t looked back.
Today, we’re proud to supply our cakes across all 32 counties of Ireland. And while the business has grown, our commitment to small-batch baking and quality ingredients remains at the heart of everything we do.
As the food industry continues to evolve, so too does Wildberry Bakery. We’ve recently welcomed a new generation to the team, with our daughter Charlotte bringing a fresh perspective and a renewed energy to the business. Her insight and enthusiasm are helping us adapt to changing consumer expectations while continuing to deliver the same high standards our customers know and trust.
